Campus life

The students on each site have access to a wide range of services: student life centers, libraries, career guidance, university restaurants, associations, etc.

Food & drink

A variety of catering services are available with the university restaurants and cafeterias. These are located close to study facilities and are generally open from Monday to Friday. Students may access the university restaurants with their AquiPASS card, which can be recharged using a bank card or cash in the restaurants and cafeterias. The price of a meal is around 3€, and a wide range of menus is on offer to suit all needs and tastes!

Student life centers

The Student Life Centers (BVE - "Bureau de Vie Etudiant"), located on the main campus sites, are an essential part of student life, providing information and guiding students towards different university services (financial support and grants, health, social, culture, sport, leisure…). A special welcome is provided for international students.

Student associations

135 student associations exist at the University of Bordeaux. Some associations offer sporting activities and humanitarian or cultural projects, while others are closely associated with domains of study. The university supports these associations via the Student Life centers, encouraging student initiatives and offering free expertise. They advise and accompany students in setting up and sustaining an association and may also help with the different aspects of event organization.

Healthcare

The “Espace Santé Étudiants” (Student Health Center), is entirely dedicated to student health with professionals (doctors, nurses, psychologist, dietician, midwife, etc.) available for consultations on physical and mental issues. In addition to health questions, should you have queries concerning your civil rights, a social worker/assistant may provide assistance.

A range of activities are organised including social security workshops, and also cooking and stress management workshops.

Please note that appointments may be scheduled on the website Doctolib.fr, and a nurse may be consulted without prior appointment. These consultations are completely free of charge.
