International student fees at the University of Bordeaux as of 2019

In France, tuition fees for international students who come from outside of the European Union (EU) or the European Education Area (EEA) are fixed at a national level for universities. However, each university may decide on its own fee waiver policy.

What will you pay as a student of the University of Bordeaux if you come from a country outside of the European Union or the European Education Area?

    Please note: students from the Québec region of Canada pay the same fees as French students.

    1. Are you already a student at the University of Bordeaux?

    You are a registered student at the University of Bordeaux for the 2018-19 academic year and intend to continue your studies next year 2019-20.

    Your fees remain the same as for 2018-19 and for the duration of your cursus.

    You will pay the same fees* as a French student.

    2. Are you already a student at another university in France?

    You are a registered student at another higher education institution in France for the 2018-19 academic year and you wish to continue your studies at the University of Bordeaux.

    Your fees remain the same as for 2018-19 and for the duration of your cursus.

    You will pay the same fees* as a French student.

    3. Do you wish to register for the first time in France at the University of Bordeaux?

    You wish to register for an undergraduate degree or master program

    You can obtain a partial exoneration of the fees applied to students coming from outside of the EU and the EEA for the duration of your cursus - you will therefore pay the same fees* as a French student.

    Please note: the quality of the student’s academic record and/or the economic context of the country of origin will be taken into account with priority given to those from low income and lower middle income countries**.

    You wish to register as a doctoral student 

    You will pay the same fees* as a French student.


    * For 2018-19, standard national fees are 170€ for an undergraduate program, 243€ for a Master program, 380€ for a doctoral program.
    International fees for 2019-2020 are 2 770€ for an undergraduate program and 3 770€ for a Master program.

    ** Subject to the deliberation of the Board of directors
