Look inside one….172’s have seating for 4 persons with 4 sets of seat belts . I have the Cessna POH handbook on the 172N models…– Your confusing it with the 150’s and 152’s which are 2 seats only and a very small ( child size )baggage space.

Comment on Update: Austin Runway Victim ID’ed. This writing creates a level of doubt in this person’s innocence for being present on the runway. Not only did the airline kill someone but the way this is written could imply character defamation. This is so horrendous and unprofessional.

Do some research-

Comment on Going Direct: To Instruct Or Not To Instruct In The Age Of COVID-19? by Richard Heitzman https://www.planeandpilotmag.com/going-direct-to-instruct-or-not-to-instruct-in-the-age-of-covid-19/#comment-166759 Fri, 03 Apr 2020 15:34:32 +0000 https://www.planeandpilotmag.com/?p=38440#comment-166759 My company continues to train. Aviation, Business, and Commercial Aviation is critical to the success of this country in fighting the spread and support the healthcare industry for the Covid – 19 epidemic. Your generic comments and accusations based on one instance of someone in our industry acting irrationally is similar to today’s panic news media. We as a corporation and industry have put in place and continue to foster a very safe environment for our customers to train. We continue to feed the pipeline of needed pilots and mechanics who are trained to the best of our abilities and work in the environment that failure is not an option. If you are ready to know more please feel free to review our COVID-19 website and understand what professionals do, not your “one of” sample that you based your article on. Thank you.

Comment on Going Direct: To Instruct Or Not To Instruct In The Age Of COVID-19? by Jim Taylor https://www.planeandpilotmag.com/going-direct-to-instruct-or-not-to-instruct-in-the-age-of-covid-19/#comment-166758 Fri, 03 Apr 2020 15:34:17 +0000 https://www.planeandpilotmag.com/?p=38440#comment-166758 It’s all about the money. And when they say it’s not about the money, it’s really all about the money. Flight schools typically operate on ridiculous margins- lots of cashflow in (and out) but have little profit and therefore, almost no retained earnings to tide them over. Airplane (or leaseback) payments are due, rent is due, utilities are due…today’s bills are paid with yesterdays receipts. If there were no receipts yesterday, then you’re in a lot of trouble.

Different people react to overwhelming stress in different ways- some cry, some hide, some “kick the dog”. This guy was a dog-kicker. He’s scared as hell but using bullying tactics to hide it. There are/will be enough CFI jobs out there at well-run schools so they don’t have to take it anymore, but this publicity will be the death of that flight school, in spite of their nice equipment. As it probably should be.

A wise man once said “there’s nothing more dangerous to a bad business than an ex-employee.”

Never seen anything like this COVID-19 viral threat proven to be a highly contagious pulmonary disease. Flight instruction can wait for healthier rimes.

That seems essential…

That would have helped to not spread this virus. This should have been in place for all forms of transportation buses, trains, taxis etc….

We even use vodka however it’s only 40% not good enough but better than nothing.. we need the president to ground passenger planes for two or 3 weeks . Or this will not stop.
