GOALS
- Adress theoretical and practical issues in a domain of optics and/or image sciences.
- Manage by himself all steps of an experiment or create new software functions: conception, realization, test.
Students develop two different projects, one during each semester, related two different domains of optics: photometry, polarization, Fourier optics, speckle analysis, measurement based on interferometry...
The following methodology, similar to project management, is recommended:
Bibliography : any course support, book, library, or contact with expert can be used
Agenda : workplan, milestones, work advancement evaluation…
Conception : use of available ressources (optical devices, software…)
Realization and test : Precision assessment and test in respect to the scope statement
The project may concern various domains: optical aberrations, wavefront study, adaptative optics, laser, photometry, imaging, colorimetry, polarization through imaging device (optics and detector) or by surfaces (coatings, prints, filters…)
