The goal of this course is to extend the radiometric and photometric concepts by studying image synthesis. For this purpose, the different phenomena (reflection, scattering and propagation) are addressed from a theoretical point of view, but also from a numerical (simulation methods) and computer graphics point of views (resolutions). Students who follow this course should be able to make the link between some optical phenomena and the possible numerical methods.
